Who we are

Motioness is a video editing and motion design studio in Zevenaar, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 90637356). We are responsible for the personal data described on this page. Questions about your privacy? Email us at info@motioness.nl.

The contact form

When you send us a message through the contact form, we receive:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your message, and anything you choose to tell us in it.

We use these details only to read and answer your message and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal or quote. We do this because you asked us to (taking steps before a possible agreement) and because we have a legitimate interest in answering questions about our work (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR).

Your message is sent by email to info@motioness.nl. The website itself does not keep a copy. To stop spam, the website briefly stores a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address so it can limit the number of messages per hour. This is deleted automatically after one hour.

How long we keep your data

We keep your message for as long as we need it to handle your request. If it does not lead to a project, we delete it within 12 months. If it does, we keep it with the project records for as long as Dutch law requires us to keep business records (seven years).

Who else sees your data

We never sell your data or use it for marketing by others. Our website is hosted by mijn.host in the Netherlands, and our email runs through an email provider within the European Union. They only process data on our behalf, and your data stays within the EU. We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not place cookies when you visit it, and it contains no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so your browser does not connect to Google or other third parties when you visit.

Server logs and security

Like every website, the servers of our hosting provider record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is needed to keep the website secure and working, and is kept for a limited time only. Security software at our hosting provider checks incoming traffic for attacks.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data, to limit or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Just email info@motioness.nl. We will respond within one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We update this page when our website changes, for example when we add online video or payments for our tools. The date at the top shows the latest version.
